About the role
We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, enthusiastic and experienced Lecturer/Senior Lecturer who is committed to the student experience and has a broad knowledge of Higher Education teaching in the areas of Film, Television and Media. Joining a lively and creative academic team within the Department of Humanities at the University of Derby, you will teach, supervise and provide academic support on a range of undergraduate modules on programmes including single and joint honours Media & Communications, Media Studies and Film and Television. In the first instance, this is a temporary appointment until 31 July 2018
In-depth academic knowledge, experience of HE teaching, and understanding of current debates within the field are required, along with a commitment to teaching theory and practice in exciting and innovative ways.
We would particularly welcome applications from candidates who have a Ph.D. and a strong track record of excellent teaching, although candidates with significant practical experience in fields such as TV or Media Production should also be encouraged to apply.
